Super Energizing Green Smoothie

Need that little pick me up in the afternoon or a new breakfast shake?  I thought you would love this recipe for a super energizing green smoothie. 

I want to send a big shout out to my local family-owned grocery store, Heinen's, for handing out great recipes every week including this one that I've tweaked slightly.  This is my go-to morning smoothie.  It's a great way to get your macro's all in one.  

 

Super Energizing Smoothie, 1 serving

  • 10 oz. unsweetened plant-based milk (almond, cashew, flax, hemp or oat)
  • 1 scoop greens powder
  • 1 scoop collagen protein powder
  • 1/2 banana
  • 1 cup spinach
  • 1/2 cup frozen mango or pineapple or kiwi
  • 1/2 small avocado
  • 1 tablespoon almond or cashew butter
  • add extra water if needed

Blend until smooth and enjoy!  This adds a little bit of sunshine to my day plus I get to check "good nutrition" off my to-do list.  In the comments section below, please let me know if you try making this recipe.
